When we shared our construction roadmap for Aldea Mayab, we focused on the hard work of building structures, infrastructure, and progress. Phase 2: The Vertical Transition

Over the past few months, our teams have focused on the most complex invisible work: deep foundation engineering and the integration of underground services.
The Structural Foundation
Due to the unique nature of the terrain in Bacalar, our buildings require two meters of foundation depth. Structurally, Aldea Mayab features four levels (one of them entirely below ground) to ensure long-term integrity, keeping all hydraulic, sanitary, and electrical systems hidden underground to preserve the natural landscape.
Current Construction Progress
With the primary foundations and underground infrastructure of the initial Phase 2 towers completed, we have officially moved to the vertical construction stage.
Towers 5 and 8: Vertical construction is underway; walls and columns are currently being raised.
Towers 6 and 7: We are carefully removing the vegetation layer and beginning the initial foundation excavation, maintaining our commitment to protecting the existing flora and fauna.
- Operational Logistics: We have implemented a major improvement by using the Aldea Kalan access road for the movement of heavy machinery and materials. This ensures that the internal streets of Aldea Mayab remain quiet and exclusive for the enjoyment of our current owners and guests.
Updated Delivery Roadmap
With the complex underground work behind us, our construction pace is accelerating. We are maintaining a staggered development strategy (focusing first on towers 8 and 5 to minimize disruption) before moving forward with towers 6 and 7.
