Tulum Takes Off: New Air Routes and Connectivity Options

In an exciting development for travel enthusiasts and paradise destinations, Tulum is preparing to receive an even greater influx of visitors thanks to the new air routes announced by Viva Aerobús and Aeroméxico. These airlines are responding to the growing demand for flights to this sun and beach destination in the Riviera Maya, providing travelers with more options to explore this dream region.

Viva Aerobús Takes Off to Tulum

Viva Aerobús has announced the start of five new routes to the Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum. Starting December 1st, travelers from Mexico City and Monterrey will have the opportunity to fly directly to this paradise. In addition, Guadalajara will join the party on December 16th, followed by Tijuana on the 17th of the same month. This marks a milestone in Tulum’s air connectivity, with daily flights from Mexico City and Monterrey, three flights a week from Guadalajara, and one flight per week in the low season, increasing to three frequencies in the high season from Tijuana.

Improved Connectivity to Southern Quintana Roo

These new air routes not only make Tulum more accessible to domestic travelers, but also improve connectivity with Quintana Roo in general. Flight options from different regions of Mexico make it easier for travelers to reach the southern Riviera Maya, where Tulum dazzles with its natural and cultural beauty. But the advantage extends even further.

With the inclusion of destinations such as Bacalar, located in southern Quintana Roo, these air routes also open the doors to a little-known paradise. With crystal-clear lagoons, stunning landscapes, and a rich historical heritage, Bacalar is a destination that has been waiting to be discovered by travelers from all over the world.

This means that visitors from other important cities in Mexico, such as Tijuana, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, will have the opportunity to explore both Tulum and Bacalar in a single trip, immersing themselves in the culture, nature, and wonders of Quintana Roo. In addition, for international travelers who wish to venture beyond conventional destinations, this expansion of air routes offers a gateway to a less explored, but equally captivating Mexico.

Aeroméxico Joins the Tulum Party

But the excitement doesn’t end there. Aeroméxico is also joining the celebration with scheduled flights from Mexico City International Airport to Tulum starting December 1st. Using Embraer 190 equipment, the airline will offer 14 weekly frequencies for those looking to enjoy the Mexican Caribbean coast in all its splendor.

Tulum as a Base of Operations for the Historic Mexicana de Aviación Airline

As an additional piece of news that excites travelers, the Mexicana de Aviación airline has announced that the Tulum Airport will be one of its bases of operations. Although specific details on the number of flights and days of operation are still awaited, this promises greater connectivity with Tulum from various cities in Mexico and abroad.

Tulum is consolidating itself as a first-class tourist destination with the expansion of air routes and the growing attention of airlines. These developments not only benefit travelers, but also contribute to the economic growth of the region. Get ready to explore Tulum like never before!
