Tulum Takes Off: New Air Routes and Connectivity Options

Viva Aerobús Soars into Tulum

Get ready for some fantastic news for Tulum lovers! Viva Aerobús has just announced the launch of five new routes to the Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum. Starting from December 1st, travelers from Mexico City and Monterrey will have the opportunity to fly directly to this tropical paradise. But there’s more in store – Guadalajara joins the party on December 16th, followed by Tijuana on the 17th of the same month. This means daily flights from Mexico City and Monterrey, three flights a week from Guadalajara, and a weekly flight during the low season, ramping up to three flights a week during the high season from Tijuana.

Enhanced Connectivity to Southern Quintana Roo

These new air routes not only make Tulum more accessible for domestic travelers but also enhance connectivity throughout Quintana Roo. With flight options from different regions of Mexico, it’s now easier than ever for travelers to reach the southern Riviera Maya, where Tulum shines with its natural beauty and cultural charm. But that’s not all.

With destinations like Bacalar included, located in the southern part of Quintana Roo, these air routes open the doors to a hidden paradise. Crystal-clear lagoons, breathtaking landscapes, and a rich historical heritage make Bacalar a destination waiting to be discovered by travelers from around the world.

This means that visitors from other major Mexican cities, like Tijuana, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, now have the opportunity to explore both Tulum and Bacalar in a single trip, immersing themselves in the culture, nature, and wonders of Quintana Roo. Furthermore, for international travelers looking to venture beyond the usual destinations, these expanded air routes offer a gateway to a lesser-explored but equally captivating side of Mexico.

Aeromexico Joins the Tulum Celebration

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Aeromexico is also joining the party with scheduled flights from Mexico City International Airport to Tulum starting on December 1st. Using Embraer 190 aircraft, the airline will offer 14 weekly flights, giving travelers the chance to experience the beauty of the Mexican Caribbean coast at its finest.

Tulum as a Hub for Mexican Aviation

As an added bonus, the Mexican Aviation Airline has announced that Tulum Airport will become one of its operational bases. While we’re still waiting for specific details about flight frequency and operating days, this promises even more connectivity with Tulum from various cities in Mexico and beyond.

Tulum is solidifying its status as a top-tier tourist destination with these expanded air routes and growing attention from airlines. These developments not only benefit travelers but also contribute to the economic growth of the region. Get ready to explore Tulum like never before!
