With the recent news that Viva Aerobus will begin operating flights to the Tulum airport, it is not surprising that Aerom\u00e9xico has decided to join the action. Starting in December, Mexico’s flagship airline will offer no less than 14 weekly flights from Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the new Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport. This will not only facilitate access to Tulum for domestic travelers, but will also open the doors to international visitors from places like Toronto, Chicago, and San Francisco. <\/p>

Aerom\u00e9xico’s Strategy: A Bet on the Mexican Southeast<\/strong><\/p>

Aerom\u00e9xico is not only connecting Tulum with the United States and Canada, but is also strengthening its commitment to the Mexican southeast. The decision to operate these routes is not only about attracting international tourists to the beaches of the Riviera Maya, but will also connect domestic travelers from cities such as Tijuana, Guadalajara, and Aguascalientes, among others. <\/p>

A Boost to Quintana Roo<\/strong><\/p>

Aerom\u00e9xico has expressed its commitment to the state of Quintana Roo by offering connectivity and exceptional service to and from Cancun, Chetumal, Cozumel and, now, Tulum. This translates into an offer of more than 221,000 monthly seats, representing a 6% increase compared to the current operation. <\/p>
